According to the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), the appraised value of all U.S. commercial property types increased by an average of 3.09% in 3Q 2015 and over 13% year-over-year.

2015 had the most new nontraded BDCs enter the market since 2012. Five new BDCs became effective in 2015: Carey Credit Income Fund Corporate Capital Trust II Credit Suisse Parkview BDC, Inc. Griffin-Benefit Street Partners BDC Corp. Terra Income Fund 6 Inc.

Nontraded REITs had $5.35 billion in cash with which to acquire properties and fund shareholder distributions as of September 30, 2015. This represented 6.8% of the total assets in the industry.
