“Irish Row Apartments has been a historically strong performer in the market given its proximity to campus, large floor plans, and thoughtful amenities,” added Kiferbaum.

“The acquisition was significant as it marks the Company’s strategic entry into the self-storage sector, which is one of its primary investment targets with a focus on alternative real estate sectors,” said Keith Lampi, chief executive officer of the Company.

“Inland continues to be bullish on acquiring student housing properties and we intend to purchase 10 or more of these before the end of this year.” 

IPC, through its subsidiaries which serve as asset managers, facilitated the sale of the property on behalf of Colorado Springs Multifamily DST, one of IPC’s 1031 investment programs.

The DST owns a Class A, private pay, 186-unit senior living community in Algonquin, Illinois. The community is comprised of independent living, assisted living and memory care units.

Conveniently located at the northeast border of FSU campus, the seven-story property will include 367 units and 1,316 beds in studio through six-bedroom floor plans.

Mark Cosenza, senior vice president of Inland Real Estate Acquisitions, LLC, with assistance from David Neboyskey, VP and associate counsel of The Inland Real Estate Group, LLC, Law Department, completed the deal on behalf of an Inland affiliate.
